Ashwagandha root has been used as a rejuvenator in Ayurveda for hundreds of years and is now recognized as a herbal extract, which means it can help the body resist the stress of all kinds naturally by adapting to the body's needs.
Ayurvedic doctors have long used ashwagandha during pregnancy. When consumed in moderate amounts (Ayurveda recommends 1/2 tsp per day), it is thought to provide energy and energy to both the mother and the developing baby. However, due to its tendency to induce abortion in animals at very high dosages, there are differing views on its use during pregnancy.
