Mysteries of the Kingdom!
Mysteries of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:10-17 KJV) 10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? [They were asking Jesus, Why don't you just tell them what you mean]? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. [For some, God gives them the ability to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom, and some are not given the ability to understand those mysteries. Why? Something to research and meditate on]. 12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. [Some gain in understanding and some lose what little they had]. 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. (Isaiah 6:8-10). [Some are just not able to see, hear, or understand the mysteries of the Kingdom]. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: [You will never understand the mysteries of the Kingdom if you do not show interest or search for the truth in His word]. 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. [One definition of waxed gross is (to grow more stupid)! They have closed their eyes, they don't want to hear His truths; they do not care about God and His Kingdom. If they understood, Jesus would heal them. Is there something different about the ones being talked about here]? 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. [Some do have eyes to see and ears to hear, they understand the mysteries and are blessed accordingly]. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. [Many prophets and Godly men have longed to see what they have seen, and to hear what they have heard in the present times]. Food for thought: The natural man must know in order to believe; the spiritual man must believe in order to know. Read and study your Bibles to try and gain more understanding. It is difficult to find something, if you are not looking for it. Seek Him! Do you want to understand more of God's word? See James 1:5.
