Deny Him? | |
If you want to deny God exists, go ahead. Who does your denial affect? Your denial has no effect on me or anyone else. It only affects you. You can deny Him till your blue in the face, but, does your denial of Him mean He doesn't exist? I don't think so! Even those that deny Him receive the benefits of His creation, even when they choose to deny Him. You are breathing the air He created, right? By denying that God exists, many think they sweep aside any accountability to Him (God), thus they can do whatever they want to, so they think. They only deceive themselves. Men seek to hide from the presence of God to avoid accountability. Can you hide from God? Does your denial of God change Him? [Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 3:3, 9:20-21; 2 Peter 2:1]. (KJV) What is the point or purpose of our lives if there is no afterlife, God or eternity? I believe the purpose of this life is to prepare us for the afterlife, an eternal life with God or the opposite. We have to make a choice in this life, we get what we choose, plain and simple. This is what God says about non-believers, those who deny Him, haters of God, those that forget God, those that don't trust in God. Deuteronomy 7:10, 8:19; Judges 10:13-14; Isaiah 5:20-23 [woe unto you if you do this], Isaiah 6:12, 45:9[more woes]; Jeremiah 17:5; John 3:18-19, 15:6; 2 Timothy 2:12 [deny Him and He denies you]; Revelation 21:8 [Unbelievers don't make it]. Not a good idea to live like there is no God, and then die and find out there is. What does God think of false christs, false prophets, false teachers, those who twist scripture, false apostles, deceitful workers, workers for Satan, wicked ones, His enemies, etc. Deuteronomy 13:5, 8-11, 18:20, 28:47-48, 29:20-21, 32:22-25, 41-42; Psalm 12:1-8, 63:11, 73:27, 101:7, 118:8, 119:104; Proverbs 3:33-35; Isaiah 44:25, 45:9; Jeremiah 2:34, 14:14-16, 17:5, 7, 21:14, 23:1-2 [Wow!], Jeremiah 23:11-12, 16, 19-40, 48:10; Ezekiel 13 [whole chapter], Ezekiel 14:9-10; 18:21-26, Ezekiel 34:1-16 [He despises false teachers]; Hosea 4:5-19, 6:9; Malachi 2:1-4, 8-10 [God's description of bad priests]; Matthew 5:19, 7:12, 15, 21-23, 24:21-26; Mark 13:5-6; John 10:12-13; 1 Corinthians 14:33; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 4:2-4; Hebrews 3:11-12, 19; 1 Peter 3:12, 4:17; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 1 John 4:1; Revelation 13:12-15; It is always your choice which way to go, belief or unbelief. I can't recommend unbelief. Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. [Read Revelation 21:8 again]. Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. [Try to help others overcome before it is too late for them]. Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; [Trust in God and Jesus Christ till the end; be steady]. Deny: To contradict; to gainsay; to declare a statement or position not to be true. To refuse or neglect to acknowledge. Denial: The action of declaring something to be untrue. Check out all of the above verses noted; verify them in God's word. Continue to study your Bibles yourself. You have absolutely no reason to be afraid. Seek Him. How you answer the questions of God's existence will impact your relationship with others, your commitment to integrity, your attitude toward morality and your perception of truth.
