According to what you have done!

This is a KJV Bible study guide.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Doesn’t matter what you choose to believe these are two appointments no one misses. Makes total sense to get ready for them).

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

No one stands beside us on judgment day; we all must give account of “himself” (himself is singular). Since we must stand alone before Christ I feel the following statement is pertinent here: “let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind”. Whatever “a man” sows, that is what “he” reaps. You reap what you sow and I reap what I sow; plain and simple.

I have encountered many people that accuse me of spreading falsehoods and traditions of men; you aren't the first. Maybe some just don't fully understand what I'm saying or why I'm saying it, so they accuse me of teaching falsely instead of being honest to themselves and others. Some of those many attempt to correct me and say that I should amend my ways and believe as they do; in other words, I should follow their beliefs. The main problem with that is their beliefs are totally different from the beliefs of all the others I receive suggestions from. I'm left with this question: Which one do I choose? My answer: None of them. I'll take my chances and stick with God's word and what I believe based on His word and my present understanding of that word. I will listen to suggestions, but, I always verify those suggestions before I believe and act on them. If I can't verify them in God's word, I disregard them. Also, I do my best to not tell others what to believe; that is between them and God. I do share what I choose to believe and the verses to support my beliefs. I plant a seed of truth. What a person does with that truth is up to them.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

There is one thing I can suggest and no one can dispute it; study God's word on your own. Seek Him in His word. Study your Bible completely, cover to cover. Get the whole picture by connecting the dots. What can you do with only part of a picture? Not as much as you can with a more complete picture.

More food for thought:

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them, that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
(Just look around you today (2024+), people are doing exactly what this is talking about. They’re all confused about what is right and what is wrong; 180 degrees out. Be careful what you ask for; in other words, woe unto you if you make the wrong choices; be careful what you ask for)!
