Do it differently. This is a very important subject worth repeating! I have heard what some call the definition of insanity; it goes like this. “When someone does something the same way each time, but expects different results each time, that is insanity”. In my words, if one keeps making the same choices, they will usually experience the same results or maybe worse results. I'll try to give a couple of examples; I know many people have encountered the ones below. 1.) If you continually spend more money than you make, you'll always remain in debt; you'll always be without the funds you have worked hard for. It's so simple; manage your income differently. In other words, you have to spend less than you make to get ahead of your debt. Quit buying things you don’t need especially when you buy using a credit card. If you can’t help it, get some help; it’s out there. You may have to eat rice and beans for a while. That is called common sense. If you are one that doesn’t have much money because you choose not to work, you will get only what you have chosen to get. You will only have what others are willing to give you; that usually isn’t very much. Your choice, you reap what you sow, it is so simple. 2.) Addictions of any kind more than likely need to be dealt with in a different manner than you have dealt with them up to this point in time. You are still addicted, right? I know that many addictions are really tough to deal with; I talk from experience. I’ll use poor eating habits as an example. Poor eating habits usually result in many health problems such as obesity, cardio-vascular disease, dental problems, etc., etc. Many others have dealt properly with those same addictions, whatever they are, and are no longer hindered by them; they did things differently. They did what it takes to develop good habits in place of the bad habits. It may have been something as simple as changing the people you hang out with or approaching the problem from a different angle. I recommend praying and telling your Heavenly Father about your weaknesses. Recognizing that you truly have a problem is a good place to start. Don’t give up! God doesn’t like wimps (those who give up easily). The point of this writing is to hopefully reach someone and show them that making different and better choices will result in different outcomes; hopefully better outcomes. Remember, you reap what you sow; you are responsible for you. Remember, all choices have consequences whether they are good or bad. Study the Bible completely, do it differently from now on. Some good advice follows: If you find yourself in a hole, quit digging. In other words, do things differently! | |
