Trust God! | |
I fully realize it is difficult to impossible for some to trust in God. So many, including myself, have put their trust into other human beings in the past and we were disappointed at times by those we thought we could trust. Thus, some remain reluctant to trust anyone due to past bad experiences with others. Their distrust of many other humans carries over and includes God. It is a reality, some humans will let you down; they can't be trusted. “Not so with God”. Trusting in God is totally different than trusting in man. The main reason we should trust God is that He is worthy of our trust. Unlike men, He never lies and never fails to fulfill His promises. See the following KJV Bible verses: Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Psalm 89:35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: 2Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: (Don't even trust yourself, but learn to trust and rely on God completely; He is our greatest consultant). 2Corinthians 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; (He rescues us from mortal danger, and He will do it again and again. We need to put our confidence in Him). Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Trusting in Him will never disappoint you; He is not a man; He cannot lie. He has a plan He never deviates from; you are part of it regardless of what you choose to believe. There is only the Bible, the single source of power that will change our lives from the inside out. But it takes effort, diligent, everyday effort, to know the God who controls everything. If we drink deeply of His Word and let it fill our minds and hearts, the sovereignty of God will become clear to us, and we will rejoice in it because we will know intimately and trust completely the God who controls all things for His perfect purpose. Food for thought follows: I know God exists; I see evidence of Him everywhere I look. I can't prove it, but, no one can prove He doesn't exist. So, what are we left with? It all boils down to believing in Him or not believing in Him. Does God exist? How you answer the question of God's existence will impact your relationship with others, your commitment to integrity, your attitude toward morality and your perception of truth. (Ravi Zacharias). I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is. The great hindrance to all true wisdom is the thought that we have already attained it (Plumptre). Those who assume they know all the answers are victims of their own delusion (deception). God is the judge of man; not man the judge of God. The natural man must know in order to believe; the spiritual man must believe in order to know. Can anyone take God out of anything? Many try, but, the answer is No!! I encourage you to study your Bibles cover to cover, don’t omit any of it; connect the dots and learn the truth. | |
